c1934 Chevrolet Van

Box with 'The Die-Cast Guinness Collection' markings. Van sides portray one of the many Guinness adverts - 'My Goodness - My Guinness', depicting a man running away from a Spitfire and trying to save his bottle of Guinness. The irony here is that this model was purchased through Ebay on-line auctions from a German seller!! Exact date of manufacture unknown, however it was pre-move to China manufacturing. Acquired for this collection - November 2002.

The Disappearing Diorama!

During mid 2000, CORGI announced a Diorama set featuring the Austin A35 and A40 vans which where previously released (in other liveries) under the Lledo Vanguards name.  The set was to include a cold-cast pub and draymen with casks.  Owing to licensing problems the set later disappeared from the lists and a WHITBREAD one appeared instead.  A Code 3 version, however, was produced by a third-party during 2004 and it was sold on EBay.  Click here to view this un-authorised version.
